Six Easy Steps to a New Body for the New Year!

A gorgeous new body. Many of us have made a resolution to meet this or a similar goal for 2020. Fortunately, this goal is easier to attain than many want you to believe. All it takes is dedication, focus, and the knowledge needed to succeed!

Step 1: Exercise Routine. Create a fun exercise routine tailored to your individual interests. Some of us like to hit the gym 5 days a week, some like to do 3 times a week. As long as you are getting 30 minutes to an hour of exercise for at least 3 days of the week regularly, I don’t care if you are chasing chickens, HAVE FUN DOING IT!

Step 2: No Soda. Cut Soda completely out of your life. Soda adds no nutritional value to your diet and is high in sugar, calories, and bad for your teeth! Try drinking fruit/vegetable drinks instead, they taste better and add nutritional value to your diet!

Step 3: Cook your own food. Food at many restaurants is packed with extra calories, fat and sodium to keep the food fresh for longer periods of time. Try cooking your own meals, limiting the amount of times you go out to eat. Also, you can give yourself smaller portions and save the leftovers for later.

Not only will you lose weight, you will keep your wallet fatter, because you will get more food for your buck!

Step 4: Drink more water. Water is great for your body. Try drinking at least 64 ounces a day. That is eight 8 ounce glasses of water. Amazingly, this will help you drop pounds and have more energy. Water intake cleans out your system and nourishes your body, leaving you feeling healthier and more refreshed.

Step 5: Find creative ways to be active. Park further away from work, walk upstairs to your office. These are just a couple ways to get more activity into your daily life. Find creative and fun ways to be active in daily living and you will not only feel better, you will look better!

Step 6: Involve Others. When your goals are the same as others, you can motivate each other to stay on the path towards change. Keep family and friends aware of your goals and encourage them with theirs. You can all mutually benefit from the support.
